Protect yourself from the heat: 1) Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate – this is the most important thing to do. Water is the best but juices and fresh fruit are also good. 2) Be an early bird or a night owl – sun does most of its damage from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. so schedule outdoor activities early or late.
Protect your eyes from the sun: 1) wear sunglasses that are 100% UV protection. 2) Don’t stare at the sun. 3) Wear a hat with a broad brim. 4) Check your medication labels. Many can enhance sun damage. 5) Keep your sunglasses on in your car.
