TRANSPORTATION

Where’s my ride?

Getting to work, schools, grocery stores, and essential services that may not exist within walking distance is crucial to making our lives work. Without affordable and dependable transit options, families may struggle to maintain employment, access healthy food, or attend school consistently.

Transportation is closely connected to healthcare access. Beyond economic and health impacts, access to transportation supports social connection and community development. Transportation enables residents to participate in community events, civic activities, and social networks that strengthen neighborhood bonds. It also improves access to higher education and job training programs, which are essential for long-term community growth.

Utah has done a great job of providing public transportation of many varieties for many ages. Read the resource section to find ways to access your next ride!

GREENbike, Utah’s nonprofit bike share, connects you with your job, transit stops, and entertainment destinations.
For as little as 5$ a year, you can help yourself to unlimited 1 hour rides. GREENbike relies on hardware and software to keep track of bikes and the interactions between users and bikes. All rides are tracked by the system and associated with members, which means you can get access to information like distance, duration, calories burned, and carbon offset on a personal web page
